Looks like your post may have come at the perfect time.
I'm just putting the motor back in my car and it's going on the market.
When it comes to Value for money you cant go past this thing.
Where do I start?
Well the car was owner by Baracade and I will leave it to him to post how much he put into it as I'm not sure he wants to make it public but beleive me it's a lot.
I could see the potential in the car and bought it to race in the under 2 ltr Improved Production Car serie, but now I just dont have time for it and want to finish our house so I need the $$$$$
The Cooper S MkII motor is 1380cc running a webber it's had a hell of a lot of work done to it. Due to a small miscalculation with Comp ratios the engine has just been fully striped and now has brand new pistons, new HEAVY DUTY clutch, big ends and every nut, bolt and gasket has been replaced with new. I think DR Mini rebuilt the gearbox not long ago he will also give you a run down of the car.
Since I have had it I have fitted an as new Limted Slip diff, oil cooler, Aux radiator, brand new 12" performance superlite wheels with tyres that have doen about 50km (Still have the 10" wheels with A008 tyres fitted). Fixed up the interior, reset all the suspension for track work (which it never did) blah blah blah.
The car has a Cobra trophy racing seat and 6 point 3" harness (and 4 point harness on passenger side).
I have a 6 point roll cage for the car but it's not yet fitted (easy job).
OK Guys what have aI left off the list?
If you are serious about buying a HOT mini it you would be hard pressed to find better value for money.
Asking $9,500.00 (does not include plates) but I will negotiate a price for the plates if you wnat.
Here are some pix NOTE: I have some more update pix of the car at home with the 12 inch wheel and dash plate. The car looks heaps better with the 12" wheels.
