Hey All,

If someone was to purchase 80 acres 3.5 hours north west of sydney and built a rally style race track, would people from this mini club travel up there for regular rally and khanacross days? Would likely include an attendance fee of $5 per vehicle, for property up-keep etc

This is far from a definate, i would like to see peoples opinion.

Lucas

At the moment im trying to see if i can afford it. Only seen pictures at the moment, but the majority of the property is flat with nice bushland surrounds. The plan was to build a nice 3 tier stand to hold about 20 people .... enough space to park 20 cars and a large 6 car garage with toilet, shower and kitchen etc ... Would be exactely unsure of the layout of the track, but id like to make it as fun as possible ... lotsa nice straights and hairpins ...

OF course the track would not be licenced with cams, so it would be a try at your own risk track (wont be too dangerous i dont think) ....

I personally think itll be amazing to have a fun place in the middle of no where to practice the art of rally as well as drinking some cans and enjoying a camp fire ....

Ill be speaking to my financial advisor about this one :)

So would be a $5 entry fee per vehicle, $5 to camp and maybe $5 for a bbq lunch and or dinner :)

PS - I cant promise this will happen, but id really like it too

Despite the try at your own risk thing, you'd still need public liability insurance which will be a MAJOR expense....the cost of it is often out of control, particularly where dangerous events take place which motorsport would be classified as....

One thing to definately take into consideration I'd say..

Another than that it sound like a sweet idea :)

40 acres??
And get 20 dozen sheep too?
Or a Camel farm?
Or something.

It would be a super exciting idea, and for those of you who havent hammered your vehicle in a situation like the one proposed, eg a paddock Well if you can, have a go casue its really fun

I'm all for great ideas, it's a great idea...I love ideas

Liability insurance will kill it tho I think.
