Hi all
Just wondering if anyone can tell me the distance for the 1275 ls decal and stripes from the door handle down, just wanna make sure i put it in the right spot on the side of the car, and also if anyone can tell me the best way of applying the decal so as not to get any bubbles etc? ive heard something to do with soapy water but not too sure of the procedure.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
James

Hey mate
got them from minisport in s.a.
Do you just apply babyshampoo and water to thebody then put the decal on, line it up and let it dry on its own?
Cheers
for that

I wouldn't worry too much about getting them exact. I say this for a couple of reasons.

The first is that they probably weren't all exactly the same anyway.

The second is the stripes you have got are not correct anyway (AFAIK). They are not tapered like the originals. Even the Minisport description alludes to this, "These are as close to the original as you can get", they are close to original, but no cigar

Cheers
Steve

When applying decals to a BINI, I mixed a tiny bit of dishwashing detergent (3 or 4 drops per litre) with water into a plastic spray bottle. Before applying the decal, remove any wax from the paint surface to which it will be applied using rubbing alcohol (which I got in a spray bottle from Dick Smiths).

Position the decal with small pieces of masking tape when everything is dry. You can use the masking tape as hinges. Spray the detergent mix onto the car surface and a little squirt onto the sticky side of the decal. Use a small squeegee or tiny cardboard box edge to squeeze out any bubbles (and the soapy water) from under the decal. (When I bought the stripes decals, a special squeegee tool came with them.)

Some further written instructions at http://www.mightystripes.com/Installation.htm.

and video instructions at:
http://cutritefx.com/install-instructions.html

Hope this helps.

Tony
