Post subject: | Thinking of selling the traveler |
i'm thinking of moving on. I have been thinking of buying a house & i have money tied up in this car, it's a great car but 2 mini's might just be to much for me. im undecided at the moment right now it is very reliable but is built for a sc12. i have put alot of money & effort into it but i wanted it to be very reliable & it will be. the fact that the yellow mini is rock solid good power, very fun & mega reliable for it's power i'm unsure what to do right now. ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us the car was built for the love & never was about money but i feel increasing it's power & limits i may run into trouble & to be honest im loving this swift engine it's go's like nothing else!! has anyone been in this dilemma? i don;t mind selling as long as i still have a mini. I feel confused right now. thanks lads Nick. |

My suggestion would be not to sell it because you will probably regret the decision later on. Most people seem to. |

The money you get for this wont be enough to get you into a house, find something else to sell or get your folks to go guarantor on your home loan. |

im with Hanra here,, keep it, you will regret it later on.. plus you have more memories with this one, than you do with the other mini... some memories you wish to keep, some you don't... but its good to have those, to pass onto your kids, lol |

Sell it. You won't properly appriciate it until a short while after it has gone. Then in a few years after you get squared away with yr house kids and the rest of the catastrophe then you'll buy another and never sell it ![]() |

Sell it and bank the money. Put all additional savings into a house deposit (Bankers like evidence of thrift; money per se is not enough). Cars are great but a house is a rock solid foundation for the future. And let someone else enjoy that lovely car. Keeping that car will cost thousands in the opportunity cost of delaying your house purchase. Spoken just like yer dad ![]() |

turn it into a campervan and youve got yourself a mobile house, 2 bird one stone kind of deal. But seriously i know your pain, i nearly sold mine to fund a deposit, i was lucky enough that my wife sold her karmann ghia instead leaving me in mini ownership |

You would regret it so much, I don't think its worth it for the money you'll get |

Sell it. You don't need two minis, you do need a house. |

F$K@N a. best idea i've heard. what do you want to sell it for, have you got some other savings at all for the deposit. i 'd be thinking that youd want at least 20 K for a house deposit and don' t think you'd get that for the mini. |

I sold my countryman a little while ago , thought I would regret it , but surprisingly I haven't . Like you I built it to suit myself and I had gone as far as I was prepared to go and we had had it for 12yrs so It wasn't an easy decision. Remember this .... down the track there is ALWAYS another one. |

Picture yourself with a wife, kids, dog, mortgage, bills and no beer in the fridge. |
