Post subject: | Bottom Radiator Cowling & Bracket Issues |
Hi, I Have been trying to fit a new ali radiator in my mini, though I am having a lot of trouble with the bottom radiator cowling coming into contact with the crankshaft pulley. Has anyone experienced this before? I have even taken an angle grinder to it with no avail. Personally, by cutting the cowling and trying to bend the bottom mounting bracket I think I have made it worse. If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated. Perhaps I need to start over with a new bottom bracket and cowling. I live in Perth, if anyone can asisst with a good s/hand item it would be appreciated. Thanks Roc |

There were 3 different bottom brackets and 2 different cowls that I know of. Perhaps the ones you presently have off-set it all the wrong way. Might need to go lookin' for some different ones. |

I remember having the same problems until I realised I was trying to use a clubby bottom bracket in a roundie. ![]() Is it a standard radiator or is it wider than the old one? Do you have an A+ engine with the breather can on the timing cover? Cheers, |
