![]() Top right as in this picture. ![]() This is from a 'rebuilt' engine. Should I consider a new flywheel housing? |

Nah get a shop to grind it back, fill it up with weld then cut it back to a flat face. Shouldn't cost too much. Or if you really cannot be bothered, go grab a new housing ![]() |

I don't have a shortage of second hand spares, however i'd need to get a new bearing and seal? |

To do it properly, yes you definitely would. The last thing you want is a leaking primary seal. Or a grumbly drop gear bearing. |

There was an oil seal thread in here last year- There are 3 clutch seals available: 1. The common red one that everybody sells here, they are cheap rubbish now, made wherever. They leak, much too soon (like, @8000 miles). And, the springs fall off em too. Want any? I'll post ya a couple to be rid of em. 2. The black Rover seal, dearer but a much better seal. Available from Karcraft etc. 3. The red `competition' Gaco seal (this was the std red one we got here years ago). Best, IMO. Available from Lindsay Seibler, or bring in from Minispares UK. |

Is the crack just across the machined face or does it go further down? If you couldn't be bothered doing it willy's way and don't want to use another case, you can buy that liquid metal stuff that sets hard and just file it flat. Or if your a cheap ass, just get some epoxy resin and smear some around the crack to seal it, and use some goo on the gasket. |

It doesn't go much further than what you see... |

I'd be tempted to file it out and fill with that metal epoxy mentioned above... |

Yup, file or hacksaw to the full depth of the crack and devcon (or whatever your favourite epoxy is) fill it. File flat. |

Poeee ditch it. The roller brg is about $28 the needle is about $12 and a seal is about $8[ good vitron type] I get all these from A.W.B. bearings ,so I sure that there is a place ic Vic. Now as for a replacement case[a 4 syncro type ] I will send you one that has been all nicely soda blasted for a belated wedding present. Do not stuff around with it ,it's not worth stuffing a re-build for that cost. Just send me a PM with details and I will get it done over the week end and stick in the mail to you. |

What are the part numbers for the two bearings that sit in the clutch housing? |
