Guys following on from my mk2 s shell thread I am now looking at purchasing this 1971 Cooper S. Compliance plate matches radiator shroud number. Do 71 Cooper S numbers start YG2S1? Other number on plate is 2-3-4-5a-7-20-10A-15 Sorry for the crappy phone pics. I still couldnt see any other numbers stamped anywhere on the body in drain channels etc.

Sorry to say that YG2S1 is a Mini K not a Cooper S.
All 71 Minis had heater tabs because they all had heaters due to the ADRs for demisting.

All Minis built in 71 had lift up handles even Cooper S's.

Mk1 Speedo and fuel balance pipe is not right either!

I am guessing the vendor is selling this as a genuine car?

There seems to be a run on police flappers at the moment! :(

Was the blue 71 a genuine s. If so what colour trim?
How much is he asking for the palomino k in the photos?
May be a general duties k or just had a visor. Clean looking car. Does it have a clubby heater with it?
