Got a 11 stud head would like to no what it is off, the only numbers i can find are 12g 940 :?:

Could be a Cooper S head. Look around were the thermostat goes there should be some numbers stamped in to it.

Cooper S had 12G1805 stamped there (sometimes).
Morris 1100S had 12G938 stamped there (sometimes).
They are both the same basic casting- the S got bigger inlet valves, double springs and 2 extra head stud holes, is all.

The only place i can find numbers are in between rockers and further along found a w :!:

Cooper S and Non-Cooper S castings of the 12G940, I have seen no less than 6 different castings with quite a lot of difference between then, particularly in the exhaust port valve guide boss area.

Measure the inlet valves-
33mm is Morris 1100S (or maybe a MG Midget, same head).
35.6mm is Cooper S.
