Don't you hate it when your driving along the freeway and your Uni joint decides it doesn't want to do it's job anymore. So I'm waiting on the side of the road for my free tow. In the 30mins I've been here three people I know have stopped to help:)

Yeah on the way home from school. It didn't like moving cos the drive shaft was flapping around. It's at garrys. I don't really have time to fix it.

It was put in the car in 1997, so that makes it 13+ years old.
It was the plastic cup type one, not the rubber version.

I put cheap ones in my car about 12 months ago because I couldn't find any good ones. I have just purchased a set of good nylon cup ones with needle rollers in each end. I got about 15 years out of my last set of needle rollers and it appears only about 12 months out of my new cheap rubber ones.

Do the math and decide which ones are cheaper

Rubber U/Js these days don't last like the originals did. They were GOOD rubber, unlike rubber products (most) these days.
I don't like rubber U/Js- I run Hardy Spicers, they are pretty bulletproof.

I've been in the presence when one broke. Very quick fix though.

All fixed.

Some damage to the exhaust and the CV popped out, but all fixed so I'm happy.

Ryan
