Its bad enough having those big wheels rolling past your tiny little car in heavy freeway traffic...
....and then you notice he's got spikes on his wheel nuts to mince meat your car as he goes over the top! Its kind of menacing...

Seen a few trucks in Brissy with them too. I wonder how legal they can be? Aren't you supposed to avoid having sharp pointy things on vehicles wherever possible? cheers, Jacob |

Send the photo to the Police and your local member. They are only thin sheet metal or plastic and would probably fall off before carving chunks out of your door but they look dangerous and the industry should not be doing things to try and intimidate other road users. |

they are a pedestrian hazard . a small child could injure them self if they fall into them if it is parked. |

I've got photos somewhere of what a truck's unadorned wheelnuts did to the driver's door on my 3-series when I had it.. from the looks of them they would have punctured the door skin. |

Even the rounded wheel nut covers will tear a quarter pannel apart when some silly person tries to push there way across the front of a large prime mover |
