Yes there is plenty of posts on this topic.

And a chap by the username of 92 makes the kits?

Does this chap have a direct email address? I cant say Ive seen him post here for many years? If I PM him via Ausmini would he ever see it???

Basically Im wondering if he still makes the kits, what is the cost these days?

Is anyone else making this SC12 kits?

Is a 1 3/4 SU suitable for engine sizes of 1330cc and up?

Can a 2in SU be used instead?

Does the bracing for the bonnet definitely need to be modified on a round nose to allow fitment?

Ben Afford is his name.

You could use whatever carb you can be bothered to tune. Maybe using something that most people use would be easier as a starting point.

I've seen them fitted with the back of the bonnet sitting up... instead of cutting the mounts from a perfectly painted bonnet.

Yes I still make the SC12 kits cost $870
A 1 3/4" HIF SU is fine, works on all size engines a 1 1/2" is better for standard 998's
The bonnet bracing doesnt need modifying, just lift the back of the bonnet about 10mm for clearance.
The kit Minisport sell is my kit.
I look on this forum regularly just dont post much

nice one hanra.. the car will go like stink! :D

I think if you grind the lugs of the top of the sc12 you do not need to lift the bonnet.

I mentioned this to a friend and he questioned if this would fit on a Datsun A14 motor he has fitted to his 1200 ute?

Im pretty sure those Datsun donks were fairly similar to the BMC A series?

A 1400cc may prefer a SC14 though?

bens kit uses a sc12, sc14 is bigger.

sc12 come out on a 1.2l sc14 come out on a 1.4L

a sc12 will be fine imo.

all the power is down low anyways, i have seen sc12's on 1380's & they fly!

The supercharger would be suitable for the datsun, but you would need to make your own kit to fit it.

As for would it prefer the sc14, both would work, just depends on how much you want out of it. But bigger is generally better :D Not to mention sc14's are a great deal easier to find and therefore cheaper.

No the SC12 came on the 4AGZE, a 1.6 litre four cylinder engine.

The SC14 came on the 1GGZE, a 2 litre inline six.

not similar enough... but lots more room in the engine bay to make a much more efficient intake. There are a lot of compromises to fit it under a mini bonnet :(

There's a guy in my car club with a 1200 ute that has a 1500 Datsun motor, must be pushing 200bhp n/a, f*cking rocket
