Sliding windows on Mini Van. Are they all the same size and shape or are there different sizes? E.g. Are the ones on traveller's bigger or more square?

Thanks.

Do you mean the front windows - ie, in the doors?

Or do you mean the rear windows?

The rear windows in a Mini Van (an option) were fixed and did not slide.

The door windows of all sliding-window Minis should be the same size.

Cheers,
Watto.

Lockie 91 has sliding rear windows in his Clubby van, they are aftermarket. Smaller size than the travellers, from the look of them.

Folks be careful out there with your digital cameras, the internet can be very unkind, looks like it adds about 30 pounds or so. :P

How was Goulbourn?

Those windows are aftermarket. The estate ones are larger and squarer. Australian vans came either blind, or factory fitted with fixed glass.

Love the Van. :P
Might use some of my extra Dynamat to insulate the back of the van to see if it dulls the effect of driving around a tin can. Amazed how water tight it all is though, runs like a dream.

First thing I did when I got home was move the seat back though. There was an old door hinge stuck in the mechanism limiting the seat travel.

My wife's pretty keen for me to get one that's another colour though, so depending on how bad the rust eventuates might consider a new colour. I'm thinking Red (as opposed to it's original Snow White). Here's my current collection. I've got some way to catch up to you guys.

See Issue 21 of The Mini Experience.

These windows were an after-market accessory - usually as part of a rear-seat conversion.

There were two examples in TME, followed by another reader's example in Issue 22 (p13) which identified the windows as being made by Bailey Windows in East Brunswick (Melbourne) - fitted when the car was bought new from Lanes Motors.

Other brands may have been available interstate, but this is the only brand I've come across so far.

Cheers,
Watto.
