Post subject: | Price? - Jellybeans |
Hi all, I posted these in the for sale section, but had no interest. I've since had an enquiry from a local bloke and I'm wondering what's a fair price for 4 x jelly beans wheels in good nick with excellent tyres. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Evan |

Also, I've never run them, but do they need a stepped hub or are they just a standard bolt on. I have a bloke interested and I've offered them to him at $300. No nuts, no centre caps. Fair? |

Good buying at that i'd say, i would of said around the $400 mark, depending on tyres. |

Tyres are around 60% I'd say. |

Post subject: | selling mags and tyre wear |
I tried to move mine on Ebay in Nov last year and with tyres (never used) and nuts couldnt sell'em for $400. I did find a lot of people looking for 1off to make a set of 5. You could try this way and make 4 sales. Be careful on rating a tyre wear %. The question then becomes, are you rating the total block height wear down amount or are you rating the legal height wear down amount? I turned up to buy a tyre in 2007(side wall holed my own) that had "40% tread left" in the add. Found it was down to the wear indicators. The bloke selling it told me it would be ok. When I asked him to put his house on that statement, the deal was suddenly off. |

They just bolt straight on. No flares needed with flat drums, but with S brakes or S/Clubby S spacered drums you do need flares. I rather liked the look of them when we had Barney, they were `period correct'. ![]() |

In all honesty, I would love to return it to 10s, with a nice set of 10*5 Miniators. You are completely right Doc. I feel a little 'self conscious' about the 12s, seeing Barney amongst his 10" shod brethren at Wakefield Park. If I could swap em with someone without money changing hands I would. At this point, building a house and life's other monetary pressures, I don't think the Minister for Finance and Entertainment would allow 3 sets of wheels sitting around. |
