Post subject:  Polycarb Window Options

I've got perspex in the side windows and rear one piece door on my Van. It scratches easily and fogs up over time, meaning it has to be periodically replaced. What apart from glass are the alternatives? Is Lexan any more durable, or are there other polycarbon options around?

Lexan is better but nothing is as good as glass.

What's road legal?
I'd assume "plastic" in any window except the front would be acceptable, depending on the quality and grade of the "plastic".

Looks like the best stuff is Lexan Margard. Light, strong, won't scratch easily dues to its special protective coating. Can be bought in a Mini kit from:

Or City Plastics in Adelaide do a 2240 x 1220 sheet for $420 +GST.

3mm panel is about 1/3 the weight of equivalent glass sheet.
