My HS6 runs a ramflo 300.

The foam filters for it are $13 and the oil for when you clean the filter is about $15 and does heaps of cleans. Can't go wrong really. And I use the oil for when I clean my motor mower air filter as well!!

It is a standard 1275 as far as I know.

The standard mini air filter is actually quite good (if you have it!), with a few modifications. The plastic shroud is designed to take air from near the exhaust manifold to prevent carb icing, but that's usually not a problem in Aus. So to let it breath a little better, you can drill a few 1/2" holes around the shroud. I understand that this will be very close to or just as good as a performance filter.

I'm running a K&N cone filter that came with a stage 1 kit on my 998. It seems pretty good, but I wouldn't buy it by itself - they're pretty pricey. But they are apparently one of the best filters in the world.

+1 on the standard filter - unless you're after the extra noise of the performance filter that is ;)

The stock doughnut filter still does okay on a 1275 with an HIF44 so will do fine on a 1.5" SU. And it actually does it's job of filtering pretty well too :P
