I'm after information about the full length rubber boot mats. What models did it come with? Can you upload some photos or point me to a site with some? What clips/fasteners are used with it? Where can I buy them? |

This is the original one in our 1962 850, with one we cut out underneath. ![]() I think I've seen the clips that hold it to the boot lid for sale somewhere. 'Christmas Tree' clips I think they were called - could be wrong. |

The matt just clips onto the boot lid only with the christmas tree style clips and sits loose in the boot itself. |

Thanks for the picture. Does the rubber mat have anything under it? Like felt or something? It looks as though the boot lid may have something under it. |

I'm going on memory here, but didn't later cars have the same thing but made of a heavy vinyl. Seem to remember my 70 matic was like that. |

There's two different types (well I've found two, may not be original). They differed in size. I'll see if I can find them. There wasn't any sign of underlay stuff on the 850 under the mat. In the photo above, it's a second rubber mat that we cut out that's underneath - in theory it should support the original. The white things are bits of double sided tape. |

FYI November build, 1965 Morris Mini Deluxe. ![]() Trunk rubber mat Morris Mini Deluxe 1965 by mort subite, on Flickr The clips on the edge of the boot lid are metal spring clips with a flat/dome head, nounted through the rubber with strngthening gause glued to the back to help prevent the rubber ripping when new. It has a part number embossed in the rubber and has a 1.5" or so boarder around the entire edge of the mat. This is the type of thing that I would dearly love to have remade , along eith the rubber flooring with the morris logo. one day maybe. |

Cool. Now all I need is to work out where I can get those clips from. I can't seem to find them on minispares.com or minisport.com.au. Surely some mini place stocks them ![]() Here is a photo of a mold I have come across. I'd like to have the right clips to hold it in though. ![]() |
