Word to the wise...don't ever put yourself in a situation here you have to pull the hub assembly apart whilst it's off the car. I imagine if you had a vice it would be alot easier to remove the cv/hub nut but do you think I can remove it?

So.....I've bolted the hub to a wheel, propped the wheel of the ground with a couple of bricks, stood on the wheel and tried like buggery to crack the nut(with a breaker bar). No good, any suggestions?

id probably take it to a mechanics shop get them to shoot it off with a rattle gun.. but hmm.. im out out ideas..

The rattle gun had no problems getting mine off the brakes I got recently.
They aren't fitted to the car either, and didn't need a vice or anything.

Sounds like your'e gonna need the rattlegun for that one.
All the pressure in the world won't help, you need to shock it off. Its embarrassing how easy it is with one of those beauties.

You did remove *all* of the split pin, didn't you?
