I have in a couple of instance found them too long (these were the Mini Spares ones).

Not enough in the Hi-lo Bolt to compensate?

Can you fit factory washers between the knuckle joint and rod?

Likewise -- the ones I got from Karcraft a year or so ago were a cast iron sod to get into the back of my van with new cones...

I have done that and had them bend. They should work OK but it has happened a couple of times.

dunno - I had them on 3 daily drivers for 10 years or so all up, always the same set, never an issue

I've done this in two of my mini's no problems so far. (approx 5 years of use)
