A friend has an HIF Carburettor and he gave me the number on the tag which is FZX1444WK635 how do I identify what size it is by this tag. HIF38 or 44 mm. ??? Cheers |

Just measure the butterfly opening It will be either 38mm or 44mm So HIF38 = 38mm / HIF44= 44mm Hope this helps TA Kiwiinwgtn |

Unfortunately I do not have the Carb to measure. The number was given to me by the seller in "Belgium". He does not have a clue where to measure to check the size and It is very hard to ask a question when the other person does not speak our Lingo. I just thought that some one on here will have a list of HIF Numbers. Cheers. |

The 'loophole' with going off tags is they are only held on with a screw. |

I have a brand new HIF38, and the only tag I saw on mine (only looked quickly  ) said "AUD616R".
Sorry this doesnt help. Can he send any pics? Maybe someone can help out that way. |
