Post subject:  Help needed:Brake Master cylinder

I put a new master cylinder kit in by Clubman on Saturday(Plastic Reservoir)
but could still not get the brakes to work. Are there any tricks that I need to know that might solve the problem? Thanks

At a guess, the pedal is spongy?

Were you able to bleed the brakes OK after re-fitting?

Wheel Cylinders OK?

I second this.. unsure of how far you got,,, but if you can't get any pressure on the pedal and you can't get the bleeding process going, crack the joins further up the line near the master cylinder, sometimes I find that the pipe bends are above the highest point on the MC, therefore the flow is hard to get happening.. PM "tobermary" on here, he will explain in better terms,, he had a crap fight with his brakes with this problem the silly bugger
