Morris Minor - the one in the top photo is from a Minor 1000, but it's had the top broken off, the bottom one is from an MM

I know little about morris minors.

But the top one looks as though it may be for a bonnet ridge, with a well shaped v from it. Was there another part of the badge thats been broken off, or is it supposed to be round like a deluxe badge?

Kasperflipped did you buy those badges?

Brenton

I thought $30 for the deluxe/850 front badge was a bit steep

yeah, like I said, the top has broken off. The early ones were (48-53) round at the top, after that they had a thing that pointed up to to meet the other thing that sits at the front of the bonnet

like this - this is a series 2:

here's the round topped badge on an MM highlight

a little correction to myself, the boot lid badge is from an MM/Series 2, so went from 48-57, the bonnt badge was used from 53-62 ('71 in UK), so the two badges may have been from the same car - except that the front one is broken

:D

no worries, if you ever get a chance to drive one, give it a go, utterly gutless, but very entertaining :D

Dad's headed up the freeway to Port Maquarie in one of his at Easter pulling a camper - looks the same as the MM, but no roof
