Would probably work well with the turbonator on the inlet and the 'power chip' resistor across the inlet sensor. :lol:

That's right - 10-30% fuel savings, improved emissions, and better battery life. Just by plugging it into your cigarette lighter!

They claim it can regulate your voltage or something, so you can guess it's a capacitor. I remember someone buying one of these on another forum and pulling it apart, and guess what they found? A capacitor, an LED, and a resistor (to limit the LED current).

So there you have it. If you want a 20% saving in fuel, wire a tiny capacitor across your battery terminals. It's funny that such a saving can be made so easily - makes you wonder why car manufacturers don't include it themselves. :D

Thats that "broquet" thing, I'm sure that it has been independantly shown to be bollox. I have a feeling that one of the Classic Cars magazines (maybe PC Brett) tested it years ago and showed that it didn't do anything.

I love this snake oil stuff, my brother in law used to spend a fortune on some garbage that was oil with golden coloured metal particles in it that made your mazda 323 into an RX4 or something similar.

Some well known people on this forum (not me!) swear that those Broquet things do work..
I'm not sure any double blind testing was done though. :wink:

That's right Tim, the Federation of Historic Vehicles tested a bunch of these miracle run on unleaded products (includig the Broquet) with a brand new A series engine in about 1999 and Practical Classics covered the story.

The same engine was used for each test but the head was replaced with a brand new new one for each product.

The only products that worked were the Flashlube and Valvemaster type products. All the others produced sever valve seat recession.
