Doc, they are the "Classic with head rest" & are $551 each

the Vintage is the same seat but without the head rest & is only about #350 each

no brakets or sliders comes with them at that price either, they`re sold seperatl;ely at about $150 i think

but ,,,MiniMonaro---->easy enough to just ring Revolution race gear & ask

I'm getting myself a set of the clasic low-backs myself when I get the cash. Revolution have them marked at $355, but you can beat them down to $335 pretty easily if you buy them as a pair. Maybe even less if you get the subframes at the same time too.

I don't see what the attraction is really....we put up with appalling seat types say from 1950 to late 1980ish...why be uncomfortable just to be period correct??

I drove a Mini once from to Cairns from Sydney and back and would have killed for a descent seat :!: :? :D

i have a set I'd be willing to sell with the runners.... they are in perfect condition. One of the runners has the plastic feet broken (easily replaced, mostly because i am a fat SOB)....

Looking for 7 non neg... they are practically brand new. I bought them from a guy in camden who had owned them 2 days.... Before that they sat in a mini in a shed for 3 years as the owner passed away and the little old lady didnt want to sell the car.

They are black and as I said, in good nick

IMHO, Cobra Classics are BLOODY UNCOMFORTABLE!. I bought one of those last year for my Clubman. Got one with the headrest and runners. Wish I had saved my money and done more research...but they looked so good!

Drove for an hour up the Hume and had a damn sore back for days after that. Maybe it's the headrest framing inside, but, either way, it caused was a real sorepoint on my spine.

Another problem with the seats is the reinforcing on the sides which does not allow the seatbelt to sit properly against your lower abdomen. I don't know how it got past Australian Standards like this. It's inadequate as support for your pelvis.

Just by looks the CUB seat on the Revolution site looks better for seatbelt access with the low side profile.

mine are quite comfy... and because of the size of me, they comfortably go across my abdomen, without toucvhing the seat 8)

Welcome to Ergonomics 101 Scotty! Your second sentence (fact) "corrects" your first sentence (opinion). The fact that everyone IS different is all the more reason why these seats should suit a great precentile of human sizes and shapes......not a poofteenth of skinny or fat bastards....otherwise, the seat should be labelled to state that.

I'm only 80kg, 5'9" tall and pretty slim. No gut to speak of. I fit inside the 95th percentile of human sizes...at least in Australia.....so why am I uncomfortable?

Everyone's different, right? And Cobra should have taken that into consideration, yes? So the seat should fit me, right? In this case, no. The seat is therefore the problem. I've possibly got a faulty seat, I'd suggest........nice, after spending $600 plus.
