Was it Lukey Muffler or someone else? I realise the early cars would've had imported exhausts but they were Australian manufactured at some point as some have an Australian part number.

My 62 850 has it's original muffler, but there is no makers mark. It is made of really thick steel compared with new offerings!

Lukey rings a bell, I seem to remember my Dad telling of a time when there was a strike or problem at the exhaust supplier and they had cars parked everywhere round the factory grounds with no exhausts.

I was thinking Lukey aswell but I wouldn't be surprised if BMC only sourced the muffler from them and bent the pipes in house :?
