Post subject: | crankcase rebreather |
After changing the oil in my clubbie I took her for a spin. Afterwards at home,I removed the rocker cover oil fill cap and when I did, the engine idle dropped dramatically. I also noticed that the rebreather nozzle has been sealed off, so the rebreather tube connected to the air cleaner isn't doing anything. Why would it be like this? ![]() |

The breather from the air cleaner is deliberately restricted, otherwise the PCV system will suck lots of air through there and run lean. As when you pull the filler cap off. What you have is normal. |

If all is correctly connected and your engine & carb are OK, then the revs actually increase at Idle - slightly (by ~50 to 100 rpms) when you remove the oil filler cap. |
