Hi all,
Just wondering if people would be interested in helping the not so savy.... me... maybe others.... ..
If we could get a list of things that are interchangable through out the mini range, my main question of the moment is,
will a rover rear seat fit in a clubby?
But if we could all write up what we know to be interchangable in a list, much like the "i'd like a how too..." sticky that would be awesome....
Feel free to tell me how silly i am.. i'm feeling rather brain dead of late...

Also, if this sorta thing already exists... feel free to throw me a link and kick me on my merry way.

Cheers all, Sean.

Gee mate, that would be a HUGE list and would also include a fairly extensive 'comments' list to fill in some missing blanks.

The Rover seats will fit all model Clubbies, only on the 78 model you also need to get the earlier type of brackets. The threaded mounting holes are there in the cross body box section and so only need to be screwed in.

Hey GT, it's rather ironic that you mention 78 specific 'cause that's the model in question. I guess that was a pretty big ask, i'm sure you can just put it down to the bottle of southern, time i posted and my lack of patience (all be it after an hour) with the search function.

Maybe we'd be better off with a list of what won't fit straight in, Ie: leave out anything that does need modding to get it to fit, then again, probably getting ahead of my self with a hangover...

anyone interested feel free to do try one of the above... even a small guide would probably save a few $$ here and there for some of us.

Cheers, Sean.

Ha, I must of had somekinda preminition! What I said ^ relates to the seats that bolt to the top of the box section. The captive nuts needed for the arly brackets are still there too, you just might need to pull a bit of trim out of the way.

It's funny what you say regarding interchangability of parts between models. For a car that was almost the same in appearance from it's inception to the end of production it is utterly amazing how many items were changed along the way and then became non-interchangable. It's no wonder they went broke!

hey GT, don't suppose you could do or have a "how to" with pics somewhere?

850, my mate was telling me last night to rear mount an ls3 in the poor little thing. LOL. he's doin a VB comm up to VC HDT spec and then dropin an ls2 in it.... recons the chasis will take it... i'm rather skeptical... then again he tends to say alot of things that turn out to be the opposite of what he's happy to argue 6 months later..

Cheers, sean.

It's funny this thread popped up, I'm actually working on such a list right now, don't expect to see it posted for a few days.

Problem is the list would be extensively long and detailed to cover everything from every model of car to every other model of car. My list only focuses on sedans: 850s, deluxes, clubmans, 80s rovers and 90s rovers.

I thought I'd start a new thread when its done, and from there we can have one thread where people can ask questions and those in the know can answer.
