The Brown / Yellow wire run up to the Instrument Cluster on a Clubbie / Rover or Speedo on a roundie. It goes to the IND (red) warning lamp.

DTrain, that's handy.

Fiji, try supacrap and all the other usual suspects, You should be able to get Brown OK, but Brown with a Yellow Trace might be a bit hard to come by.

You could also go down the wreakers with some side cutters, don't have to look for a Mini specifically, but just about any Ford, Holden or English Car will have a Brown / Yellow wire.

Yep I got two Looms from Pick & Payless + the Original and cleaned them up and took the Best from the lot. You shouldn't have to much trouble getting a Brown with Yellow trace there. I always looked for the pommy cars first (Range Rovers also) as they are easier to get the full length out of

Is it common practice for those wires to be all soldered together. I'm think not. Y/Br (burnt) runs to my alternator, it's not ind though. Brown to my solenoid +. the two bottom ones look to run under the dash .. Ignition I think.

The wires soldered above are the green from my alternator to the yellow from my speedo.
