Several years ago, my power booster sprung a leak, so I put it into a local Mini specialist who replaced it with a new VH 44 unit.
Upon collecting the vehicle the owner of said business stated that the brakes worked better now if 'you stabbed at them' rather than just pressing them. He was right. The power boost feel was really only apparent when you stabbed them! I was not happy, but this issue got hidden in time since it was a weekend car then it was taken off the road until now.
Searching the internet has found reference to the ability to adjust the feel of these VH40/44's by the 'reaction disc'. Veiled reference to reaction feel being adjustable is made here
http://www.hydroboost.com.au/techtalk.htm.
My question is does anyone have experience or knowledge of this reaction disc adjustment? Is it something I can adjust, or is it a booster out job?
I will most probably end up contacting Hydroboost and speak to them, but I'd thought I'd put this out here to see if others have had this issue.
