hi everyone,

ive done a bit of work on the mini and discovered that the voltage staybilizer and the square female end that the speedo cable pushes into in the back of the speedo itself are both stuffed, does any one know where i can get a new speedo and voltage staybilizer from?

also its a 69 mini k so the larger speedo and older style staybilizer is what i need

thanks for any help,

sam. :)

by the way i live in port adelaide, so anywhere close to there would be good.

thanks again, sam :)

His are electronic, they do not use 1940s bimetal strip technology.
They work great, I've used 2 of them. Cheap too.

Im on my 4th wombat one - brilliant. Providing you are good with a soldering iron and understand heat sinks you can pull his to bits and fit it inside the old stabilizer can - it fits :just. Stip ot the old bi-metal strips and use the can as the earth. A coat of aluminium paint with a clearcoat over and it looks like new

I have been modifying these Regulators to Electronic too. Any one has any old no good ones please send them to me. I am always looking for old ones to do up ready to plug in.

I've been looking at doing that as well - so I'll compete with Tony for your dead stabilizers as well. 10% discount if you supply a case to be refurbished as an electronic one. 3 cases and I'll give you one free.
