can anyone post some pics of a mini K with lift up handles = 71 model
pics of original K would be great, inside, outside , engine bay, wheels anything would help.

Dont mean to offend anyone however some say that Carter GT's 71' Cooper S is infact a Mini K. His build thread is here:

Plenty of pics and information. Might be of use?

Again, it could be a Cooper S however as the identity remains unknown as of yet, it could be a Mini K, so helpful to you?

If it is in fact a K, why would you even suggest it to him. It has plenty of cooper S bits n pieces on it, that it does not even resemble a mini K. So basicaly that is useless info for him. There are plenty of other threads with 71 mini k's in them. He is asking for photos of original mini K's not something that does not resemble anything original about a mini K.

Infact ive already had multiple people inspect the car and tell me it is a genuine S, one of whom is an old BMC mechanic and the other a well respected mini buisiness in melbourne.

But monster mini feel free to look at photos that are of a car that is not original, and is a cooper S

There's no need to jump down his throat, and also no need to start ANOTHER argument about the identity of your car, K or S (or both?)

Also, that HE is actually a SHE, so i'd tread lightly if I were you ;)

We have had our 1970 Mini K from new, motor has never been out, apart from a set of Cooper S flairs a sports steering wheel and a set of Contessas and carpet it is original, if any one wants a pic of any particular area for reference.

I have an original Mini K brochure, I would need to scan it in and upload it,
if no one posts the pics I will scan it tomorrow some one may have it on their computer already.

The Mini Experience Magazine had a very extensive article on the Mini K. You would be able to order a back issue.
