I purchased my Clubman Van (restored) from a chap at Ewingdale last August &
drove it 700klms back to Maitland.
His name is Ray Chandler & he has 2 Cooper S (one he is building for someone else).
Very nice guy & knows how to build a mini engine.

Thants a shame Blue Bird, your not moving back are you. It sounds
like there might be one or two mini people in the area if any one is
passing through it would be good to meet up. If anyone thinks of
someone let me know.

Yeah Ray is a lovely fella, he works at the NRMA servo opposite the cop shop

& i`m in Byron most fridays , maybe a thursday now & then , & maybe a thurs , fri & sat, but then sometimes just a fri & a sat,,, but then (like this week) i miss out cause the kombi shat it`s gearbox again (yeah it`s now up to gearbox number 11) :-)

Kerry, you got a great van off Ray, well done & i reckon you got that cheap, well done.

Thanks Miniman, It,s looking better & better with out touches to it-----will soon have
LCB,s, twin S.U,s, full hood lining ,etc.
I posted my tool kit up to him before we flew up but Ray was slightly miffed that I
thought we might need it.
The van (Chardie we call it because of the colour) I think was his wifes & after 10
years she would,nt stay to watch it drive off.
690 klms trouble free driving to Maitland makes me laugh when "Sunday Driver Mini
Owners " get excited about a 50 klm Club Run.
I,ve been driving them since 1963.

cheers
Matt
