Post subject: | Morris Mini Deluxe - Factory/Dealer options |
Hi there, I am trying to restore my 68 deluxe so it looks as it would have in the late 60's. If I was a boy racer from the 60's (Bogan or Sharpy, can't remember) wanting to by a mini but couldn't afford a Cooper S would have I; 1. Bought a deluxe and with the intention of adding a few nice bolt on's (weber, Smiths Tacho, steering wheel, mini lites, new exhaust, etc) 2. What factory/dealer options were available for the deluxe? I know the heater was but really not sure what else? (Cooper S heater, brake booster)? Any help or old brochures would be greatly appreciated. |

I agree with 68Rusty, It's amazing the range of BMC add ons available. And then there are all the non approved accessories. |

Brought back happy memories reading the part numbers on that brochure. I worked in the Parts Dept back then and sold quiet a lot of those Accessories. The radio's were a hot seller back then ![]() I only wished I'd kept some brochures and other advertising material, back then you just threw them in the bin ![]() |

Limited Slip Diff (This one was specific for Rubber type Uni's, it wasn't a Sailsbury it could have been a ZF), Was indeed a ZF specific for rubber type uni's, I had one about 20 years ago, swapped it for a set of negative camber bottom arms. |

I have a copy of "Smith, Sons and Rees Ltd Annual Catalogue 1968". Has pages and pages of aftermarket stuff for all cars including Minis. Will scan it when I figure how to on my printer/photocopier. |
