Post subject:  LCB and remote change

Has anyone else had trouble getting their lcb to fit past the remote change box, I've had to grind a bit of casing away and oval the ehaust a bit to fit. Very uncool, Larry at padstow warned it wouldnt fit a remote too well, I hadnt heard of it happening elsewhere though.

very common, depends on lots of things including how you hang the 'zorst, what brand it is and how it was bent, mount of your remote etc.

my last car the pipe of the RC40 rubbed on the remote casing, I just let it, it wore some clearance in time ;)

cheers

I have maniflo medium bore LCBs and they fit the remote fine. It did hand abit low so I got it raised slightly, but nothing too drastic.

Same here, I have 2x original maniflow LCBs with remote boxes and they clear everything fine.
I have heard some LCBs have clearance probs with rubber unis, but i don't use these.

Just fitted a set to a remote change box, my problems are different however. The rubber unis have been cleared perfectly, and they go around the remote just fine...but they are pulled too far up into the tunnel and just manage to touch the floor pan...

+1

I didn't run into too many problems like having to grind the casing.
