OK, dumb maybe, but if I had the chance, would a 970 S be worth looking at to buy? Am thinking it could be a suitable garage mate for the Mk.2. |

Umm yes.... How original is it, Is it original? I know Ivan Glasby has 2, and i thought these were the only ones in australia. There were not that many made Brenton |

The 970S was built for only 1 reason- to win the British 1000cc saloon car championship way back when. They might be rare but they are slow, and make a lousy road car. You can get more HP out of a 998... with enough mods.

Always take note when you opine. Have got the bastardized Mk.2 for driving. Get the 970 for the Missus. It's a plan to create equilibrium. I get a nice 970 and can keep spending money on Moneypit, a.k.a. The Mk.2.

Girls, all I asked was whether it was looking at to buy. Be nice. No one is asking you to buy it. If I am that way inclined, so be it. It was an innocent enquiry. We don't need the UN or Mods on this. |

We are being nice, we haven't started throwing chairs yet. Only the cushions so far.
