Post subject:  Wheel OffSet

I'm in the market for some wheels for Marcia the Van. Allthough I have my eyes on 2 sets of wheel locally I also have to look else where till additional info come in.

I'm after 10" Wheel but the site i'm looking at has the offset for 2 differant wheels as ET7 & ET-7. The wheels I know a number of Localy have purchased and fit nicley but someone has purchsed the other style I like but are the ET7 and stuck out a mile apparently. Anyone know about this ET7 & -7 Off Set

Jim,

These are ET-7 on a standard drum brake front end. Just about right with the MK2 Cooper flares.

This is a good calculator to give you an idea of how it effects how far the wheel sticks out:

Thank You Dave. You and a Number of other have these wheels which are on my short list which reconfirms the measurements. The wheels I really want looks like they are way to wide but I still have to find out for the the two other Sets localy

Just typed a few figures into the calculator.

If you went a 6" rim with ET+7 the wheel would come in 26mm which may foul on something but only stick out a further 12mm.

ET-7 would come in 12mm and extend out 26mm.

Yep You, Dave have reconfirmed the Mumba's for me but the others 3, Spectrums, Momo's and Stars are still on the back bunner for the time being. I have no troubles in getting the Mumbas but like having options also and two are local

Non spacer drums?

^^^^^^^ Yes - non spacer - just the normal flat ones. Did have spacer drums on the rear but have replaced those with flat ones as well. Only mod was having to replace the rear wheel studs with shorter ones.
