More Help needed here, After visiting a collector in Ireland, who had sourced his original Mini, and restored it again, and kept it to treasure, the wife says lets find our first Mini, the one we had when we first meet and sold soon after

I would like to find info out on the follwing car or engine details, can you put the word out please!!!!!!!!!

Morris Mini Deluxe

1968 Model
YMA 2S2
31684
Burgundy Red

last engine in car

9FSAY47489

This car was set as a Cooper S look alike, Burgundy Red with White Roof , engine painted Bight YELLOW, twin tanks, twin carbs, Contessa's white centres silver rims, tripple gauges, black carpets, bullet mirror on Drivers side, corner bars and ober rider kit, correct badges minus the 'S'

Some one may have seen this car, or seen of the engine maybe even own the engine, this was a very fast car too fast for the road, it was an awesome rust free body, I am sorry to sell it but had no money to rebuild the engine, i was sold this engine and it was set for racing, you couldnt use every day it was that hot,

All info or knowledge appreciated, if you find this car a finders fee will be payed, (on conditon its the right car)

Why i sell it, or why was did I make another S replica, the thing I hate most fo all in the Mini world, I was young, the car came to me as a half finished S project from the third owner, I just finished it with the S engine, which turned out to be the biggest mistake

Thanks in Advance
Monaro

We need a section on this forum for those of us looking for their first Mini.

I'm looking for my first Mini which was also my first car.
1972 Clubman, Artica Tan in colour, fitted with late model 998 and rod change box. Black interior, Was fitted with LS spotlight grill.
This Mini also had creases around the rear wheel arches. I've never seen them on any other car. I don't know why they were put on it either. For flairs??? Dunno.

Had evidence of rear accident damage, paint inside arears of boot was painted in Aqua.

My Mini was traded in at Bill Hurst Motors 'the little guy with the big heart' at Beaudesert Road, Coopers Plains, Brisbane. When it was traded it was painted white but a few weeks later I saw it in his yard for sale painted in it's original Tan.

When I traded it in 1987 she had NO rust.

I'm kicking myself. PLEASE HELP and a very large reward for info on it's wereabouts.

Ty

Is it possible this is still driving around Newcastle?? Because I have spotted a burgundy mini at Glendale Supercentre parked outside PEPS on numerous occasions...

I found my first car (and first Mini) by sheer chance.

White 1968 Mini Deluxe, red trim, NSW reg AJR.413.

A guy on another forum bought a white Mini Deluxe in Sydney. It was unreg. I mentioned a couple of features of my old car, they matched with his. Checked chassis numbers - BINGO!

I sold it in 1991, relocated it in 1996. It's now restored and living somewhere in Wollongong, with original plate back on it. White with a burgundy roof and clubman GT dash. Current owner won't sell.

I WANT IT BACK!!

My first mini was a pale blue Morris 850 van, RVG-523 and then i put a hot 998 and cooper s discs on it - and promptly got myself defected. Bastards. Anyway, Steve at Brickworx bought it off me, got it roadworthy (with an 850 and drum brakes in it) and sold it to someone in SA. Apparently DrTrim. From there i later saw it as PNLMN-1 (Why? i like all the old cars with their original plates!) And apparently its now in Queensland... Damn i had some fun times in that car. 13 People in it through the Macca's dive-thru!!! They wondered why we were ordering so much food!

The car was sold with rego, it was traded in at Kloster Ford in newcasrtle, as it had private plates, they where removed and repleced with unknown plates, as the private ones was transferred to my new car,

Yes Fruity, there is two i know of in town, but neither are mine, I pulled one over the other week had so many features like mine , but wasnt it, i was so upset, I ralleyed through town to catch the little bugger to,
