Jam Jars? (not really) They probably were a generic jam jar. At one stage the CAV (diesel division of Lucas) fuel filter bowl on Bedford was a generic size until CAV decided that were were not selling enough replacements so they redesigned them so a 5oz beer glass wouldn't fit! |

Gorgeous!!! I read somewhere they changed to the plastic washer bottle on the Mini becasue the glass ones had a tendency to fall off the bracket and smash. |

While it is a nice little car, I don't think it is quite as original as being suggested. Have a bit of a look under the hood, someone has been painting things and I suspect that has hapened elsewhere throughtout. Al |

Al I think the whole car has been painted inside and out, there is blue paint on a couple of things that shouldn't. |

I think the carpets are after market and the dash vinyl doesn't match the door cards |

I like the wavy grill. ![]() A few Pommy cars from that era had glass jars. The MK2 Jag and early E Types had a square glass jar |

![]() Agreed. The wavy Austin grille is the nicest one ever fitted to a Mini IMHO. |
