Having my engine rebuilt in my GT & my engine builder informs me that the head thickness between cylinder 2&3 is very thin. He has measured it at 105thou. From his experience he normally would like to see a minimun of 130thou. Unfortunately the head has all been ported & redone so I am wondering if any one has had a similar problem. Should I put this head on or not? It will only be a street engine, driven once or twice a month.

Unless you're running a turbo or charger with like 3 bar of boost, there is plenty of meat there.

Phew, :D I was starting to get a tad worried as I didn't want to be doing that again. I wonder how many people actually measure that thickness, I've never really heard or read of that problem before, but then again I'm no engine builder.
