Phew,
I was starting to get a tad worried as I didn't want to be doing that again. I wonder how many people actually measure that thickness, I've never really heard or read of that problem before, but then again I'm no engine builder.

Having my engine rebuilt in my GT & my engine builder informs me that the head thickness between cylinder 2&3 is very thin. He has measured it at 105thou. From his experience he normally would like to see a minimun of 130thou. Unfortunately the head has all been ported & redone so I am wondering if any one has had a similar problem. Should I put this head on or not? It will only be a street engine, driven once or twice a month. |

Unless you're running a turbo or charger with like 3 bar of boost, there is plenty of meat there. |
