a new cooper(or those corolla looking things BMW make) drove past and i gave him the standard full arm wave out the window. He looked straight at me and took off. This has happened on a few occasions. I think that a lot of people who buy new minis are not concerned with the whole community aspect, but rather see their car as a sophisto accessory with no regard for where it all started. And to anyone who is an owner of the new mini sorry if this sounded like a generalisation, but f**cking wave next time :

Yeah, it seems to be a bit that way with the Bini owners- except, that is, for the ones who still have their classic mini sitting at home. They always seem to wave. Most just don't get it though, do they?

Even worse is when 'classic' mini owners/drivers still dont wave back. They've got no excuses. Grrr. Is it really that hard to beep or wave back? That's half the fun of owning and regularly driving such a car.

Middle aged/elderly men NEVER wave.

Can't expect much from em anyway

There is a BINI that lives near me. She used to wave every time she saw me in the van, until she realised I was NEVER going to wave back.

I never wave to BINIs (unless it's someone I know), cos I wouldn't wave at a BMW or a Laser, or a Corolla...

Big willy my man, do you really mean that

 Middle aged/elderly men NEVER wave.
Same with female mid/old ladies.

Mate, I'm in my 50's and usually initiate the wave or blast the air horns at other Minis.

Does that make me the exception to the rule?

I may be in that age bracket but I've yet to grow up :D

Cheers and beers willy
