I am confused.. :?
I want to join a car club, but there are two....
Now i don't know which one to join.....
Is there a difference? do the different clubs have different events or do they not get along??
Can someone help me out ?? I don't want to start any trouble if there is some rift between the two clubs..

actually there are 3 and all clubs have great people in them.

two have around 50 members , one has around 500.

that should probably tell you the story.

for a long time there was lots of animosity between the clubs but in recent times that has changed considerably. now there is (to my knowledge) no problems whatsoever between them and i know that the mocq has regularly invited the other clubs to attend any events or runs that are on.

members from ALL the clubs attend the annual mocq mini muster .

more people from mocq on ausmini than the others too.

probably the best advice would be go to a meeting of rach club and a club event , then make up your mind.;

dont know if that will help but whatever way you go, enjoy the club you end up in.

I think it's closer to 300 members (& no president  ) than 500.
I think it's very occasionally inviting other clubs rather than regularly.

but.. whatever.

I think it's a good idea to talk to each club, go on some runs & see which is best suited to you.

You are right, it is closer to 300 members but there definitely IS a president. There is an open invitatation to all Mini owners to attend events so in a way there are regular invites. But formal invites are only occassional as it is usually to "special" events that direct invitations are made.

Are you sure ClubMINI is still around :?: I've heard otherwise

clubs have changed a lot over the last 20 years. None of them up here focus on any motorsport, if you want that you are better off with the Historic Racing Car Club. Some focus a bit on the cars others focus on the social activities. My advice ask for a program of events, See which takes your fancy.

Mocq has a great mag that members get monthly, however the last one i got was march. Am i missing something, apart from April and May issues, or have the mags stopped being issued? Man, too many issues i better go see someone
