has anyone fitted a hif 44 su where a hs4 used to be?
i need to work out what the 3 pipe connections are on the hif44 carby. i have figured out the fuel connection but what are the other 2? vac lines for polution gear or somethin? and what do i do with them? block them up?
i'll take a pic tommorrow and post it if needed..

The 3 pipe connectors are
Fuel firewall side
Carb overflow in middle
crankcase breather engine side
You can block of the crankcase breather connector on the carb and run a hose under neath the car to expell breather fumes if not excessive.
Do not block of the overflow connector or leave it without a hose attached. Run a hose down the side of the car away from any heat source.
If you do not do this and the carb overflows petrol can run down the back of the engine ,hit the exhaust system and catch fire.

But what I have...as per dyno proir to the last.

Pipe's

Drivers side has three..Rear is the Fuel....front two are open to ..Everthing.. :?: Front one is blocked and she runs well ask Josh,... :lol:
I thing the front is the vacume...
I run it with a Pulsar dizzy but it was using a Normal non Vac Dizzy Prier :!:

hey gafmo is that a pipercross air filter? where about did you get it from? n how much?

Yep its a Piper cross I got Mine from Midel in Sydney 02/9759 5598 Ask for Bill Silveston...Silvo

Price Sorry I cant rember...but also get the cleaner and re-oiler at the same time...
If you have any enquiries about needles he is very informative..if you have had a dyno and know if you are running lean or rich.. :wink:

The reason you think its looks tight is due to Airconditioner noise deadner is on the fire wall close the the Air Cleaner :wink: Thats all...its thick
