Your machine retains its original Austaloy gauges but later machines had gauges made by Floyd instruments here in melb. I repaired a machine for Scott (Balistic) a few months ago and I contacted Floyd and they made me a new pressure gauge, and can supply the Vacume gauge too.

I followed up on this lead in an attempt at securing some new gauges for my pump. I contacted Floyd and they have told me they can't do the original 50mm size, it will have to be 57mm. Also instead of the white dial/black numbers they can only do black dial/white numbers.
Can anyone tell me if the picture of the nice new gauges above is what was purchased from Floyd and if so why can't I get them :?:

Cheers
Steve

My experience with Flyod is they don't usually like going direct but prefer that you go through one of their re-sellers. See if you can contact one of their bigger ones as they may have more leverage in getting what you are after.

I know Blackwoods are an agent for Floyds although I don't know how much business they do together.

The new gauge pictured in the photo above is what Floyd supplied. I did take the original 50mm gauge into them to have it reco'ed but they dont recondition gauges, they only supply new. Yes the new gauge is 57mm and the top cover required the hole to be enlarged. I delt with Folyd gauges directly, I just went to the factory and spoke to one of the managers. I had delt with them years ago so I had a good introduction.

If you want to keep the original gauges then I suggest you go and see Roger at Howard Instruments. He reconditions all sorts of old gauges and gets new gauge faces screen printed so I am sure he can help you with yours.

I sent my gauges to Floyd who reconditioned them. It took a while but they were fairly cheap and very good.

They've told me that they don't or can't recondition mine as well.

It seems that it may depend on who you talk to.

I sent them to them with the idea that they could supply gauges the same size and scale.
The bloke out the back called me up and said he could fix them.
You need to talk to the bloke out the back.

Not sure how I will go calling up and asking for the bloke out the back :D

Sounds like it might be worth a try though.
