Evening All, I emailed Graham Russell the other night to get some pricing on pistons and things for my 998 rebuild and he mentioned that I'd need to mod the gearbox a touch to get it to fit. Is there anything else I need to be aware of? Can you use a magic wand with a later gearbox? Sorry about the noob questions. It's a bit more straight forward in Landcrab world

As long as the crank and rods miss the flange and centre web of the case there should be no other mods. You can fit a magic wand diff housing and shifter to a 4 synchro remote box- just check the sizing and alignment of the diff bearing housing bores when bolted up. Remove the 2 dowels if you have to. Alternatively you can fit a `puddin stirrer' shift to a stock remote box's diff housing. It works and looks much like the magic wand, and was used on Mokes and pov pack cars from 1969-73 approx. I have pics, will add them here if/when I find them.
