Ok so I never used to get good grades for english.

I'm putting the big question out.
As you know, MiniSport sell a full BRAND NEW 7.5" Cooper S disc brake kit for a tad under TWO GRAND.
Yeah, its a lot of moola, but its brand new.
Second hand stuff is always used and you can buy some absolute crap that would quite possibly end up costing in excess of 2 grand to get it right.
I'd rather do it the first time.

Ok, so you know how i drive.
You know that drum fade is an absolute slut of a thing... i do- got dents to prove it :x
Anyway... should i just keep getting the mechanic to regularly (at least monthly! ) adjust the drums... or tell them to get stuffed and buy myself a set of these discs which shall never require adjusting to maintain braking efficency. I HATE SLOPPY PEDALS :x

Thats the question for you.

Answer it if you may.

Thanks.

Ok a question... if i do some speccy lockups - intentionally - does this damage anything on the discs?
I suppose it doesnt, but on drums you can bet that once you do a lockup, the pedal will never feel the same! Arf thats why i hate drums. :x

I'll second that. I locked the brakes up the other day, before I knew it, the cylinder cap had blown off! That's why I'm putting discs in.

yea drums all the way! I voted for drums. No seriously though it was obvious that everyone would vote for the discs because they are by far soo much better.

who would choose drums if they had the choice?

EVERYONE HATES THEM!

Nope. Not at all.

From the poll, it all looks good.
Now, if only i got a dollar for every post i did, i could buy almost 1.5x BRAND NEW 7.5" disc brakes.
Who would like 1/2 a disc brake set? :)
