Greetings All.

Bought a couple engine stands for wife's "Sheldon". Paramounts had 450kg Engine stands with wheels for $49-. Very basic units, and looks like I can simply slide a 2" pipe through the rotating bit.

Can anyone tell me the MINIMUM hight to the "Skewer Pipe" which will allow rotation. I realise the Mini (62-997) is 4 ft high by 4 ft wide, but I presume (bare shell only) the sills may touch if I have 2ft. I'm prepared to cut n shut if I have too. Their still in the box, but I think they are around 30"s to pipe centre.

Thanks in advance!
Alex.

They need another 7 or 8 inches to clear the sill as it rolls around.

I have 34.5" from the floor to the centre of the skewer pipe - the car isn't on it right now, but I think I had around 4" under the sill to roll it over.

make it as is and add some height if you need it

Thanks Mick & Simon.
I'll put one together and make an accurate measurement.

Cheers
Alex.

Assuming a square 4ftx4ft and mounted on centre - diagonal from center to corner is 33.6" so 35" should be OK
