Sorry, but you have to love eBay.

Just bought a brand new, in the box, original 970 crank. A virgin

How good is that?

The stuff in sheds, garages, boxes under the stairs etc blows me away.

Now all you need is to find a 970 block under the stairs

Easy if you have a 1275 S block and a milling machine.

It's the con rods that can be harder to come by.

It's amazing how much new old stock is still around! Worth grabbing when you can get it, as it is so much better than some of the new stuff!

Mind you, there are plenty of people putting old stuff in orginal boxes and claiming it as NOS...

Good luck finding the NOS block...that would really be something! :)

Am dreamin' and know it. Still, finding this virgin crank was not ever expected. Am open to the Mini universe. Bring on parts for 970's. :D :D :D

I saw that on Ebay, located in germany or something wasnt it? now to get it to Aus

Wouldnt it have been cheaper buying an aftermarket 970 crank? like the following, which is made for racing and the revs, so would probably last longer? i dont know

I get what you say. Thing is, and I hope Morris doesn't jump on me, I am looking at getting the best, period gear for Claude?
Mighty car that he is will get the best period bits I can find. It's in the Will. Simple.
