| Post subject: | Drum to disc conversion |
Hi Everyone, with a drum to disc conversion, can it be done by putting the engine in the car, then working from the pot joints outwards, do the assembly, drive shafts, cv`s, hubs etc, or is this the way it is done anyway ?? Jethro |

Yes that works. You can simply: - assemble driveshafts - fit the driveshafts to the gearbox - assemble hubs - slide hubs over cv joints as you also position hubs on suspension arms - fit disc/flange and do all nuts/bolts up - fit brake hoses and bleed Easy job, harder part is positioning those brake hoses, which is easier without the engine in place. So if can set your brake hoses up so that they aren't kinked when done up on the calipers with the engine out then thats the way to go. |
