trying to rumage the net looking for an old thread about a bloke that went nuts with his hole saw and drill, just to save weight, im talking nuts! drilling holes in his clutch cover, making parts out of Ti or Carbon?

anyone know this thread?

That car is truly amazing.
Not sure if its the same car, but hes got a mini sprint and remade all the panels inside with aluminium and painted them. So it all looks original.

My car had similar treatment from when it was on the track. Pedal box is full of holes, rear subframe, various other panels. Door pockets and winder channels were done as well, but that was rust, not a hole saw.....
