Post subject: | why my dad hates my mini! |
Since I am only on my L's, my dad has to drive the mini at times when he has to pick me up (and i want to drive home), and when i am driving he has to sit in the passengers seat. but what pisses me off is he is always compliaining about it! This is what he says (he exaggerates about em all): I dont like the mini because 1. "the gear ratios are so small" 2. "you feel every bump, im constantly getting shaken around" 3. "i dont know how this bloody stereo works" 4. When im driving and I accelerate slightly too fast he looks at me as if i have done something terrible. 5. "everyone is always looking at me" (which he likes at times too) 6. When I am driving with the L plates there are always P plater ******* in commodores and stuff doing what they do best just to show off near a L plater. 7. "Its sooo hard getting out of the car" theres many more...but theres just what i have to hear whenever im driving. my response is, in 9 weeks, you wont have to sit in this car or drive it ever again. but on occasions he appreciates the mini. 1. Parking 2. Turning circle 3. Fuel consumption (because he is paying for my petrol at the moment.) |

-Cam ![]() You want bad turning circle, try a 13" wheel Moke! They have stops in the rack to prevent wheel scrub with the bigger diameter wheels. Three point turns become six point turns. ![]() |

Ever since I fitted my new rack, I new have too much lock. The wheels can scrub (If only slightly) on the guards, but more concerning is the fact that my abnormally large brakes now hit the Radius arms (never a problem with the old rack). The problem with this is that it pushes the callipers apart and it can take an extra pump to get pedal back. If I could limit the steering to what the old rack was, these problems wouldn't exist. Sorry to hijack the post - but any ideas anyone?? |

I always get the feeling my turning circle isn't as tight as it could be. But I think it is some sort of illusion or something. |

My father doesn't like mine because it spends more time in the garage (blocking access to his motorbikes!) than it does on the road. He also doesn't like to three cars worth of spares I carry, and he gets pissed off when I rebuild carbies inside the house. My mother loves it but I don't let her drive it. Insurance wont let her, or something like that ![]() |
